The right gear.
- Get fit for your equipment, pay attention to what works and don't be afraid to try something new. This is not about throwing money at the latest technology. The right fit might be as simple as finding the club weight that syncs up with your body, perhaps shaft loads properly so you get more speed or wedge grinds/bounce that match your natural tendencies. The right fit is worth a handful of strokes every round.
Fitness
- Do you remember hitting your driver 250yrds and now it only goes 210 on a good day? Can you touch your toes? We, men in particular, tend to lose strength and especially flexibility throughout our adult lives. A few simple stretches and balance exercises of the course of a couple of weeks might be worth 30 yards off the tee.
Practice
- Mindlessly banging golf balls for 15 minutes before your round. Meaningful practice aims to builds muscle memory, instill good swing habits and establish routines so that on the golf course you can relax, focus on shot making and have more fun.

Take ownership of your swing. Getting better at golf doesn't always look pretty, but practice with purpose
Stop having "bad days" on the golf course because you can't figure out what is going wrong. The game is hard enough without spray and pray tactics.
